Hands On

PLEASE NOTE: This class is designed for children between the ages of 10 to 16 years. For safety reasons please do not book any children younger than 10 into this class. Thank you for your understanding.

Christmas baking is a wonderful tradition that is crying out to be upheld. Let us teach your for 10 to 16 year olds skills that they can pass on.

Included in this class from 9.45am to 12.00pm

Rudolph Reindeer Cupcakes resplendent with chocolate antlers.

The children will take a box of their goodies home, for all to share.

Today, learning about food and being confident in the kitchen is considered pretty cool. But watching TV to learn about cooking is simply not enough.

Cooking uses all 5 senses. Smelling the aroma of a baking cake, feeling the sauce thicken as it is stirred and comes to the boil or working dough to become smooth and elastic as it is kneaded cannot be experienced through a screen.

Teaching whilst ‘doing’ is the best way to build confidence and understanding. Grasping the fundamentals of fun kitchen science and maths along with Taste Education is as important as knowing how to cook. Kitchen skills, food preparation and cooking techniques are all included in this exciting special Christmas class.

Both Tracey and Bryonie are qualified chef’s, have working with children clearances and are themselves, mums. They both are passionate and experienced in teaching kids how to enjoy food and cooking. They’d love to meet your children. It would be their pleasure to teach them.
