Our first Raclette Event was simply stunning. It’s on again!
The setting, the food, the melty cheese and all the guests made for a fabulous evening. We have teamed with one of our favourite teachers in Perth Tanya Baretto from The Cheesemaker. Tanya and Tracey have been scheming together and have come up with an event to bring on spring!
Tanya has her very own Raclette machine, direct from Holland. Specifically designed to create the most delicious nutty, melty cheese, the 6kg cut wheel of Swiss style cows milk cheese sits beneath the heat and creates a layer of warm deliciousness. Raclette melts like a dream. Slathered over a plate of roasted Kipflers accompanied by some prime charcuterie and homemade crunchy pickled vegetables this cheese is a pure delight to behold and consume!
As Matters of Taste now resides in Mt Pleasant, where the snow is slowly melting, giving way to a spring carpet of wildflower colour on the mountain is a landmark every local recognises. An Alpine Raclette Cheese Event seems to be quite appropriate and really quite a lot of fun.
Of course the evening will be more than just eating and drinking. Tanya and I will include entertaining learning about the cheese and its accompaniments. You’ll leave with a full tummy, a renewed love of life, a healthy respect for Raclette cheesemakers and maybe some new friends!
This is a special one-off event. If you don’t book your place now, you’ll be in for a long 12 month wait until the next Raclette dinner.
