Please note: The first Asian Kitchen Skills Cooking class on 29th November will be DEMONSTRATION STYLE. After that all will be HANDS-ON STYLE.

When cooking Asian style food there are essential techniques to understand and master. This knowledge once learned is referred to time and time again for the cornerstone to a wonderful meal.

The best kitchen resource is a well stocked pantry as this is where many flavours are easily accessed. Knowing which brand to choose can be overwhelming, We’ll assist you to build your store cupboard so a wide variety of quality products are at hand for very little expense.

Allow us to teach you how to get the very best out of each ingredient. You’ll create an overall, well-balanced dish every time. Once you have these skills, your confidence will soar. You’ll relish cooking dishes that have the balanced flavours we all love and exciting textures that satisfy.

We have drawn on our extensive knowledge of many Asian cuisines to bring you a selection of the most useful and delicious items and combined them with essential cooking techniques including stir-frying, braising and deep frying.

Included in this class

Tempura Batter Vegetables, Wasabi Mayonnaise
Masterstock Chicken, Crisp Cabbage and Herb Salad
Thai Fish Cakes with Sweet Chilli Jam and Cucumber and Peanut Pickle
Chinese Hunter-Style Beef with Star Anise, Wood Ear Fungus, Sechuan Peppercorns and Mandarin Zest

These recipes include Stir Frying, Poaching and Deep Frying techniques and the following that we’ll make from scratch:

  • Tempura batter
  • Mayonnaise
  • Masterstock
  • Crispy Fried Shallots
  • Portion whole Chicken
  • Roasted Rice Powder
  • Sweet Chilli Sauce
