Each month we’ll present beautiful fresh seasonal produce you’ll love to cook with at home. These are very special occasions that offer unique opportunities for lovers of food and cooking. People who are interested in supporting our hard-working primary producers who provide much of the food we are lucky to have available to us in Perth.

Bryonie and Tracey demonstrate and entertain with their double-act behind the stoves. Watch them sizzle, chop and stir as they create a fresh and ‘cookable’ menu to inspire you.

The class kicks-off with a glass of bubbly and an appetizer, there’s lots of friendly chatter and new recipes grace the long-table in our kitchen. This meal experience includes a Special Guest presentation, someone who has a fascinating food story and grows or makes excellent produce, a Western Australian primary producer or an expert in their chosen culinary related field.

We serve a delicious main course as well as something sweet to finish. All recipes are designed in-house to showcase the featured produce. These Cooks Table Classes have it all!

Choose from a Thursday Evening Dinner or Friday Daytime Lunch.

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately free underground parking is not available during office hours. Please leave enough time to secure yourself an on-road parking spot on Ogilvie Road (paid), The Esplanade (free) or across Canning Highway in Applecross. See our Contact Us page for parking videos and details. There are limited places in the 3hour free VISITOR parking bays at 19 Ogilvie Road.

Australian Primary Producers Value Adding
Lunch 7th  June 2019 11am to 2pm

Supermarkets are demanding ‘perfect’ produce and their pricing remains aggressive, this is creating havoc for primary producers. We have seen and heard first-hand many stories along these lines and farmers are fighting back and diversifying as well as minimising wastage in an attempt to make a living from their land.

This  farmer has done both with his stunning range of dried fruit and fruit bars… vitamin-filled, antioxidant and fibre rich and preservative free they taste of pure fruit and goodness!

Join us and meet Bevan Eatts who has been the Chair of The Southern Forests Food Council until recently and is building on and value-adding to his fresh food crops.

Dishes you’ll be served at this class are…

Tasting Board with a range of Charcuterie, Local Cheeses, Southern Forests Dried Fruit range and our own Rustic French Pâté

Spaghetti Squash, Slow Cooked Beef in Red Wine

Little Caramel Apple Pies with Heilala Vanilla Custard

…and enjoy a glass of bubbly on arrival.
