We’ll present beautiful fresh seasonal produce you’ll love to cook with at home. These are very special occasions that offer unique opportunities for lovers of food and cooking. People who are interested in supporting our hard-working primary producers who provide much of the food we are lucky to have available to us in Perth.

Bryonie and Tracey demonstrate and entertain with their double-act behind the stoves. Watch them sizzle, chop and stir as they create a fresh and ‘cookable’ menu to inspire you.

The class kicks-off with a glass of bubbly and an appetizer, there’s lots of friendly chatter and new recipes grace the long-table in our kitchen. This meal experience includes a Special Guest presentation, someone who has a fascinating food story and grows or makes excellent produce, a Western Australian primary producer or an expert in their chosen culinary related field.

We serve a delicious main course as well as something sweet to finish. All recipes are designed in-house to showcase the featured produce. These Cooks Table Classes have it all!

Australian Garlic – An Essential Ingredient

With imported garlic from China flooding into Australia you need to be aware this product is often sprayed with chemicals before it hits our shores.

We are so thrilled to have a second generation city-based market gardener join our September Cooks Table Series. Mark Ravlich will have harvested his crop and will be bringing in new season garlic just for you to buy direct and use at home.

His garlic is some of the best available and is snapped up pretty quick smart by the better Fruit & Veg retailers!

He’ll also be talking about growing your own garlic at home as well as generously providing some locally caught Crayfish for a gorgeous fresh pasta dish Bryonie and I will be cooking in class.

What’s not to love! Reserve your seat in one of the classes and learn from one of the nicest blokes in the business.

Garlic Rubbed Bruschetta with Grilled Mediterranean Vegetables and Salsa Verde

Mark’s Crayfish Spaghetti

Fresh Pappardelle with Bacon, Mozzarella and Mark’s Cavalo Nero

Fresh Mandarin and Kaffir Lime Leaf  Granita

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately free underground parking is not available during office hours. Please leave enough time to secure yourself an on-road parking spot on Ogilvie Road (paid), The Esplanade (free) or across Canning Highway in Applecross. See our Contact Us page for parking videos and details. There are limited places in the 3hour free VISITOR parking bays located down the driveway on ground level at 19 Ogilvie Road. (Do not park in the BGC building site!)
