In June of this year we made the public announcement that face-to-face, hands-on live cooking classes were concluding on 19 December 2020. (We also ceased selling gift vouchers at this time.)
After 24 years of running much-loved public cooking classes, this path was difficult to take. But on the up-side it has ensured we can continue to teach, but in a new way.
Let me explain.
We realized in March, just before the COVID-19 Perth lockdown was announced that we had to act quickly to change the business so it could survive. I’m proud to say our steps enabled us to re-open in July (all people whose lessons were postponed during the 3-month closure have been re-booked).
Our customers come first. We re-opened in early July when twenty-four classes were scheduled (opening up nearly 600 places) through to Christmas. As I type this on 13 October, all are now fully booked.
We are still honouring valid gift vouchers (even the ones that expired during lockdown), we certainly don’t want to leave you in the lurch.
In place of one live cooking class you can have 2 years of learning with us, at your leisure in your own home! Since May 2018 our team has been working hard to create an entertaining, very personal and real-life, on-demand virtual cooking school called The Cooks Collective. It’s a delicious world at your fingertips!
We’ve got you covered, from solving mid-week dinner dilemmas to a multitude of beautiful home entertaining ideas.
All with our trade-mark humour and easy-going attitude, with really useful cooking information you’ll be heading back to this resource again and again.
High quality videos accompany each recipe so you can watch us cooking step-by-step and soak up all our handy pro tips and kitchen hacks.
Even better news, you can have immediate access to this inspiring, ever-growing content for 2 years, valued at $192.00 for each $130.00 Gift Voucher.

We’ll send you an email with logon information so you can get cooking!
If you’d like to gift The Cooks Collective to someone else, please state this on the email. Provide the recipient’s full name and email address and we’ll send them logon information.

In 2021 onwards, Matters of Taste will offer the following
