Why team building works

We all know in business, people are the most important asset. No matter what size your team is, it’s essential to invest in team building activities to promote a united crew. We all enjoy working in a friendly, supportive and productive environment.

Team activities are also another great way to:

  • Work side by side and socialise
  • Enjoy some fun out of the office
  • Assess teamwork skills
  • Apply innovation and creativity
  • Include communication skills in the activity
  • Encourage engagement to strengthen morale
  • Grow relationships and trust
  • Introduce new employees
  • Show employees that they are valued

Whether it’s breaking the ice, creating a space for your team to get to know each other better or simply having fun, there’s plenty of reasons  to engage in team building activities. A group cooking class is one of the best team building activities – everyone has a great time.

Why choose Matters of Taste for your team building?

Our teachers are qualified chefs with a sense of fun. They create a relaxed, supportive environment where people feel comfortable, even if they’re not used to being in the kitchen.

We provide beautiful fresh quality produce to cook with, aprons, name badges, homemade lemon squash and take-home recipe packs. All you need to do is to bring the team (and the wine or beer, if you’d like).

Why are cooking classes the perfect team building activity?

Our classes are held in our spacious and well-equipped teaching kitchen, so it doesn’t matter if it’s pouring with rain or forty degrees outside!

You’ll find our teachers are friendly professionals who enjoy the challenge of facilitating a crowd with varying cooking experience. Anyone can contribute in our kitchen and we’ve made sure the classes have been designed to be inclusive. It’s a great way to relax and have a good time while you bond as a team.

Best of all, you all get to gather around a long table to share the meal together and celebrate your achievements. The dishes your team serves up will be completely delicious, we promise. Food certainly does bring people together and sitting around the table provides plenty of time to interact with each other.
