This is stunning! If you like grains, this Black Barley will really get you excited - and this rare grain is grown in New Norcia WA.

So fresh and delightfully chewy with a gorgeous nutty flavour. No wonder farmer Roger Duggan is up for more awards this year. He actually has a full time job as a Marine Biologist, but grows the black barley on his family farm as a side hustle.

With a high protein percentage, this grain doesn't only taste good, it is good for you. This is the ancient grain for modern times.

Black barley remains intact after harvesting (pearl barley is hulled, steamed and polished), so it's high in wholegrain nutrition and vitamins B and E, calcium, iron and potassium. It's also a great source of fibre.

TO COOK (no need to pre-soak)

Cook in plenty of salted boiling water for 30 to 35 minutes. Drain and use hot or cold.
