Portuguese Custard Tart x 2 individual

These Portuguese custard tarts will be collected on the day you receive them from Café Pastel in Northbridge at 7am, warm from the oven! 

Since 2021, mother and daughter team, Armanda da Luz and Mell van Wichen have run Café Pastel in Northbridge. They handmake Portuguese custard tarts from scratch, including the flaky layered pastry and bake a batch every 15 minutes throughout the day.

Portuguese custard tarts, known as "pastel de nata," have a delicate, flaky crust which provides a satisfying crunch, while the creamy custard filling is silky smooth, with just enough sugar and cinnamon sweetness. Hints of vanilla and a touch of caramelization from the baking process add to each bite. 

These little treat are a perfect accompaniment to a cup of coffee.
