cooks notes:

This recipe is from Jan Pursers ‘Detox for Food Lovers’ cookbook. Jan is a naturopathic nutritionist and has written a total of 8 books on health, nutrition and meditation. She lives in Fremantle. Chlorophyll in this juice is useful in treating foot odour, bad breath, B.O. and skin problems. This assists your insides with fabulous anti-oxidants but whole fruit still needs to be included in your diet as juicing removes the essential fibre your body needs.

cooks notes

  • This is not overly sweet as the more fruit, the more empty calories. Add more fruit if you like but be aware of the added calories.
  • The good fat in the almond milk and avocado will make this super creamy and keep you full for longer.
  • Ginger is great for settling the stomach.
  • This smoothie is great for brekky (in place of food) and will kick start your metabolism.
