  • The Place

The heart of the Southern Forests region is renowned for its perfect conditions for growing high-quality truffles, particularly the prized black Périgord truffle. This area has been successful due to it's ideal Mediterranean climate - cool, wet winters and dry summers. Plus, well-drained alkaline soil provides an ideal environment for a unique symbiotic fungal relationship with oak tree roots. The Manjimup area is one of the premier truffle-producing areas outside of Europe.
