Smallgoods - Mortadella 150gm

This is honestly the best mortadella I've tasted! And it's this flavour that people love.

Mortadella is a large size smallgood much loved in Italy. Made from ground cured pork with flecks of sweet pork fat, it's then cooked to produce a mellow flavoured cold cut, with a silky texture and cut into thin slices that fold easily.

Perfect for sandwiches (toasted or cold), salads and grazing boards or a great high-protein snack.

SERVING SUGGESTION: I was lucky enough in high school to get the opportunity to go skiing in Italy. I remember vividly, visiting a continental deli every lunchtime for their mortadella and cucumber pickle crusty rolls. The filling was chopped Mortadella mixed with small pieces of cucumber pickle and coated in real egg-mayonnaise, enclosed in a delicious crusty, white, Italian style bread roll. So good.
