Lake Janis Farm 100% grass-fed Jersey beef burger mince has a 30% fat content and is  ground from chuck to give that beefy flavour and great texture to your burger.

To make burgers, simply add around 3gm salt per 500gm and give the meat a bit of a massage for about 30 seconds - this helps the patties from breaking up when cooking. Divide the meat into portions and press firmly into burger shapes. Ensure they are no thicker than 2cm as the meat will shrink and the burger will puff up in the centre during cooking! Also make sure the edges are the same thickness as the centre. Cook as per usual. (I'll schedule a beef-burger making video soon!).

Lake Janis Farm 100% grass fed beef has high marbling, soft texture and outstanding flavour from slow growing animals. You'll notice the fat colour is quite yellow because it's high in beta-carotene and Vitamin D, and the meat contains healthy Omega-3. This is possibly the healthiest beef raised in WA.

To provide their Jersey steers year-long grazing on grass, they apply biological farming techniques. Fermented compost made on site is enriched with naturally occurring ancient minerals.

There's plenty of natural water sourced from the property's large lake, so irrigation by a huge pivot keeps robust, nutrient rich feed available 365 days of the year.
