This Rusticella pasta tastes like pasta should taste - like it used to!

Italian made, Rusticella pasta is air-dried for 40-60 hours, creating a dense, flavoursome pasta that retains its shape and cooks perfectly every time. 

The traditional dough is simply made from stone-ground, strong durum-wheat semola (which is far less processed than flour) and spring water. Dough is extruded repeatedly through bronze dies, and then cut into shapes. Rusticella has a porous surface, ideal for sauce absorption. One you've tried this, you'll never go back to your old pasta brand 😉

Cook in large saucepan generously salted boiling water according to instructions on packet.

Casareccia is similar to Strozzapretti another short twisted shape, and suits most sauces but can also take chunkier textured sauce; roasted vegetables with fresh cheese such as ricotta or mozzarella, burrata or straciatella for example. Try with bolognaise, ragu, tomato (penne a la vodka), carbonnara, alfredo.
