Legacy Carved in Red Dirt

Step onto a remote, 250,000-hectare working cattle station during the most exciting time of year – the annual muster. You’ll be welcomed into the heart of station life by fifth-generation pastoralist Annabelle Coppin. Watch helicopters, horses, buggies, and dogs in action as they work the land. Then, as the dust settles each evening, we’ll gather for drinks and dinner around the fire, stories from the crew, and a night’s rest under the stars.

Then it’s on to Pardoo Station, where innovation and tradition go hand-in-hand. Discover how an advanced pivot irrigation system, drawing from deep underground aquifers, powers a sustainable world-class Wagyu beef operation in one of Australia’s most challenging environments. This exclusive visit culminates in a specially prepared three-course Wagyu dinner by the homestead’s chefs – a true celebration of local excellence.

This was a terrific outback adventure combining the raw beauty of the Pilbara with a taste of authentic station life. The 5-days were unforgettable and gave us an insight into the land, cattle and families behind the beef. Better than a “luxury resort” experience –  the tour gave us exposure to real station life and a rare chance to taste of some the incredible beef that the Pilbara produces right at its source. Epic!

I was initially a little reluctant to join the tour as camping is an experience I would normally avoid like the plague, but I surprised myself and had a lot of fun getting out of my comfort zone.  As a whole I loved the trip and was surprised at how much I learned about the running of the cattle stations as well as the huge operation that is the Port Hedland port.

Thank you for organising the adventure and looking after us, it was a wonderful 5 days. I did like the quiet, being in touch with the surroundings & watching the sun come up from the tent, even though I’m not an experienced camper. Each day had a highlight – camping under the stars, the full moon in the bush, swimming at Coppins Gap, barbecue & walk along Eighty Mile Beach at sunset, the Wagyu beef at Pardoo Station, the tour of Port Hedland harbour… we certainly learnt heaps about the Pilbara!
