Perth City Limits Food Tour - Flavour Founders

A day of food adventures.

Exceptional insider food experience, like no other in Perth. Small group food tour - maximum of 12 people. Scheduled on multiple dates throughout the year.

Some food businesses do more than make great food – they change the way a city eats. Flavour Founders introduces you to some of the bakers, roasters, makers and independent food traders who have helped shape Perth’s modern food culture. Go behind the scenes of businesses built on big ideas, hard work and a commitment to doing things exceptionally well, and discover the people and passion behind flavours that have become part of everyday life in Perth.

The People

The People

Meet people who have helped move Perth’s food culture forward – daring bakers who challenged what good bread could be, and coffee roasters committed to helping independent cafés serve better coffee. You’ll also meet second-generation family businesses proudly taking established food traditions into the future. Their stories are about much more than producing something delicious. There’s persistence, knowledge, family history and a determination to keep improving what they do. They’re generous with their knowledge and passionate about their craft – exactly the kind of people we love introducing you to.

The Food

The Food

From deeply baked sourdough and excellent coffee to handcrafted Italian smallgoods, this is a day for people who love seriously good food. Taste crusty baguettes and fougasse, discover the skill behind traditional salumi and wander shelves laden with specialty ingredients sourced locally and from around the world.

Along the way, you’ll see how quality ingredients and time-honoured techniques can turn seemingly simple foods – bread, coffee and smallgoods – into something exceptional. Then settle in beside the Swan River for a seasonal shared lunch showcasing what’s tasting best in Western Australia. Come hungry – there’s plenty to taste, discover and take home.

What brilliant day on our City Limits Tour. Our hosts Anthony and Tracey were relaxed, informative and passionate about their magical city and the beautiful produce on offer. We visited some inspiring small business and learnt alot about their production processes but also their infectious passion for their product. The opportunity for tastings and a sumptuous lunch just added the special day. It was a marvellous choice to add to our beautiful holiday in the West and I highly recommend you put it on the top of your list when visiting this lovely city.
