We are absolutely thrilled to have found a wonderful new home for our demonstration pop-up cooking classes at the Culinary Hub in Wellington Fair, East Perth.
From the moment we stepped inside, we knew this purpose-built demonstration kitchen with adjoining open plan space would offer our guests something very special – a spacious, comfortable venue with excellent viewing, including large flat-screen TVs so everyone can clearly see the cooking demonstrations wherever they are positioned in the room. All participants can be comfortably seated around tables, essentially giving everyone a front row seat to the action!
It is also wonderfully easy to access, with free parking available after 6pm on Moore Street and entry via the walkway beside Ariston Café into the Culinary Hub.
What excites us even more is the broader purpose of this impressive facility. The Culinary Hub is part of the training environment at Australian Professional Skills Institute (APSI), where students are learning the skills of commercial cookery using local ingredients in a hands-on teaching kitchen environment.
The venue is also used as a restaurant training space where members of the public can enjoy meals prepared by these budding chefs and
cooks as they build their confidence and experience.
There is something incredibly uplifting about seeing Perth invest in facilities like this – spaces that help train the next generation of hospitality professionals while celebrating the universal enjoyment of food.
People from all around the world will always seek out new destinations, new restaurants, cafés and memorable food experiences. The joy diners feel when sharing a beautiful meal is ultimately what motivates great cooks and chefs everywhere. That connection between food, hospitality and joy is something we think about often – and something we are very proud to support through our classes at the Culinary Hub.
